What I Did This Weekend, or Things I Learned From My Baby Niece-y, Who Is A Genius
In terms of simple literal lists that are intended to have a deeper symbolic meaning that reminds us of the important things in life and someday turn into best-selling three-inch by three-inch books that make great generic graduation/birthday/Christmas presents for people you don’t know that well or work colleagues, I thought that one was pretty good. I love this list… babies have it right. We just need to follow what they’ve taught us.
Yes, genius. But I am partial to #11.
It could become the Wing Woman Credo.
That so reminds me of my precious two year old! Except #10. For that, we’d have to substitute, don’t play in the toilet. Then again, judging by how often she takes the plunge, maybe we haven’t learned that lesson, yet.
When it’s hot, sit in a pool to cool off.
Stop eating when you are full.
Climb steps several times a day.
Treat the pets well- they make good pillows!
Mela-isn’t #5 the genesis of this blog?
No, it was really #6.
Really, I could have sworn it was #7!
What about “Burping and farting are natural”?
Dearest Melanie,
This is MY granddaughter you are referring to, and I approve. Remember that stairs are extremely important to Niecey and they are meant to be conquered with someone bent over and struggling whilst she is hanging onto someone’s fingies.
Also add: Grammy gives in every time!
Love the pic of our little one, too.
Huggers,
Mother
